Dr. Moore served 25 years in leadership positions at New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), mentored by many of the best government pillars in the business. Dr. Moore is a graduate of Walden University with a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Dr. Moore holds a Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and a Master of Science in Urban Affairs from Hunter College. She began her Adjunct career in 2012, specializing in Research Methods in Human Service Planning department and working as an Academic Advisor with the Master’s Thesis in Human Services. Dr. Moore also has an area of expertise in Community Organizing, Planning, and Development and taught several courses in the Master of Social Work program at Hunter College at Silberman School of Social Work. Dr. Moore is a current Walden University Contributing Faculty for WU Masters in Social Work and a Dissertation Chairperson and Second Committee Member for the Social Work and Human Services departments at Walden University for Ph.D. and DSW candidates. Dr. Moore is also an Independent Contractor (PLM Consultant) and works with external partners to build collaborative workgroups, facilitating the vision and mission by providing guidance, supervision, and nurturing positive relationships. Dr. Moore is currently a director for a non-profit organization in Northeast New Jersey in Hackensack, Newark, and Patterson. In this role, Dr. Moore collects data quarterly from the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to continue the efforts of HIV prevention targeting African American and Latino LGBTQ male youth ages 13-24, the homeless, and other at-risk populations.
